NDTAC State Conference Presentation Request
Title I, Part D is an important component of programming for youth in neglected and delinquent programs throughout the country and our team is committed to raising awareness of the Title I, Part D program and best practices. NDTAC subject-matter experts present at noteworthy national conferences annually and welcome the opportunity to present in-person at state conferences at the request of SEA program staff, pending team availability. If you would like NDTAC to join your event to present specifics related to Title I, Part D, please provide details of your event and presentation needs in the NDTAC State Conference Presentation Request Form. If your state is interested in securing an NDTAC speaker for more than one event session, include details for each session in one form submission.
NDTAC requires at least a 60-day notice to speak at a state’s request.
Although NDTAC speakers do not charge an engagement fee, the Department of Education contract requirements call for states to incur all related expenses when requesting a Center expert present to their stakeholders. The NDTAC speaker will work directly with the requesting state to create a Travel Reimbursement Agreement that details which expenses will be paid by the speaker for reimbursement and those that the state must cover in advance. The following expense-related stipulations are required of the requesting state:
- Conference registration fee: Register NDTAC speaker for the event in advance
- Travel
- Airfare: Arrange and pay for NDTAC speaker flight in advance
- Mileage: Reimburse NDTAC speaker for all mileage cost incurred per General Services Administration rate structure (Privately owned vehicle (POV) mileage reimbursement rates | GSA)
- Accommodations: Arrange and pay for NDTAC speaker’s hotel stay in advance
- Daily per diem: Reimburse NDTAC speaker for all costs incurred per the General Services Administration rate structure (Per diem rates | GSA)
- Round-trip transportation to/from the airport: Reimburse NDTAC speaker for all costs incurred
- Resources to be used during the presentation (e.g., handouts): State must print onsite
NDTAC requires all state-made travel arrangements to be complete with confirmation information sent to the NDTAC speaker at least three weeks in advance of the event. This includes the conference registration, airfare, and accommodations as detailed above.
