NDTAC Brief: Enhancing Facility-Based Education Programs Through Digital Learning

Integrating technology that supports digital learning is vital for student engagement in the learning process in juvenile justice secure care facilities. Digital learning may also improve students’ opportunities for lifelong learning and could prove crucial to their ability to use technology for searching and applying for employment, creating résumés, enhancing their opportunity for 21st Century learning approaches in secure settings, and searching for continuing education or certification programs that may increase their opportunity for educational successful and productive citizenship when they return to their home communities.
