Serving Students Furthest from Educational Opportunity
This session, presented by the U.S. Department of Education at the National ESEA Conference, aims to assist school districts that serve students impacted by homelessness, the foster care system, and the juvenile justice system. The presentation explores ways to meet the needs of these students holistically. It discusses eligibility for each program, highlights the cross-over between these populations, provides information about available funds to serve each group, and outlines the required services under ESEA. This session also aims to provide ideas for braiding funds and creating comprehensive programs for serving at-risk youth. Click HERE to download the presentation.
